Ideas for Women in Distress

Off late there have been a phenomenal rise in number of rapes victims all over the country and I'm just thinking how can we use today's technology to alert the cops if a woman is threatened and the inevitable is about to happen. Can we make a button which will have a number like a mobile phone. A woman can wear this on her person and if threatened she will press it and a SOS signal with the location details of the button device will be sent to the cops. Good one?
