Asian shares rebounded on bargain-hunting early Thursday, overcoming mixed signals from Wall Street overnight. Investors were also awaiting a raft of economic data from China.
At 8:00 hours IST, China’s Shanghai Composite rose 25.35 points or 1.27 percent to 2,023.05 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng climbed 113.27 points or 0.52 percent to 22,015.22.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 Average advanced 32.84 points or 0.22 percent to 14,863.23 while Singapore’s Straits Times fell 5.09 points to 3,092.34.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 12.04 points or 0.62 percent to 1,944.58 and Taiwan Weighted added 71.06 points or 0.82 percent to 8,755.79.
