Asian equity markets rose on Tuesday, stabilizing after recent volatility, as the implementation of sanctions on Russia lifted global risk appetite.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.15 percent or 32.20 points at 21,506.15. Japan’s Nikkei added 1.03 percent or 147.69 points at 14,425.36.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite rose 0.34 percent or 6.63 points at 1,934.16. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted gained 0.29 percent or 25.20 points at 8,725.30.
Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,094.37. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 0.12 percent or 2.38 points at 2,021.29.
