Asian shares started the week mixed on Monday with the absence of a lead from Wall Street last week due to the Easter holidays.
China’s Shanghai Composite shed 0.27 percent or 5.61 points at 2,092.14. Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.65 percent or 95.06 points at 14,611.33.
Singapore’s Straits Times was up 0.08 percent or 2.62 points at 3,256.42. South Korea’s Seoul Composite declined 0.34 percent or 6.87 points at 1,997.41.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted fell 0.26 percent or 22.88 points at 8,943.78.
