Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian equities were mostly higher on Thursday following a record close on the Dow Jones Industrial Average.



Japan’s Nikkei advanced 0.35 percent or 53.46 points at 15,432.76. South Korea’s Seoul Composite jumped 0.44 percent or 8.86 points at 2,022.34.



Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,305.65. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 23,541.75.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.51 percent or 48.38 points at 9,436.35. China’s Shanghai Composite shed 0.66 percent or 13.56 points at 2,053.72.
