Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian shares declined on Wednesday following a global rout overnight with focus on Shanghai as markets resumed trade following a week-long holiday.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted fell 0.31 percent or 28.32 points at 9,012.49.



Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shed 0.76 percent or 178.95 points at 23,243.57.



Japan’s Nikkei plunged 1.36 percent or 214.37 points at 15,569.46.



Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.53 percent or 17.16 points at 3,226.83.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite was flat at 1,972.28. China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.13 percent or 3.11 points at 2,366.98.
