Nifty holds 7500; SBI gains 3%, Tata Motors & Infosys fall 1-2%

The market is firm with support from bank and capital goods stocks. The Sensex is up 46.36 points or 0.2 percent at 24663.33 and the Nifty is up 14.35 points or 0.2 percent at 7503.45. About 1367 shares have advanced, 712 shares declined, and 91 shares are unchanged.

SBI, Axis Bank, GAIL, ICICI Bank and BHEL are top gainers while Tata Motors, Infosys, TCS, Cipla and Hindalco are major losers in the Sensex.
