Indices closed down on sharply lower oil & weak economic data. Fed speak again trying to do usual damage but no takers.

S&P 500 @ 2164.69, low 2163.97, high 2173.75

RSI @ 51.52

CMF @ 0.068

Internals were :

Down volume led by 2.37 to 1 in NYSE & 1.53 to 1 in Nasdaq

Declining stocks led by 2.14 to 1 in NYSE & 1.67 to 1 in Nasdaq

Net new 52 wk highs were leading by 74 in NYSE & 85 in Nasdaq

VIX UP 2.25% @ 12.29

Oil @ $44.48

Gold @ $1341.70

Canadian $ @ .6835
