Epic Asian Markets Update

The Asian shares held steady on Tuesday as investors waited with bated breath for the deadline that could see much of the US Government begin to shut down – and potentially crimp growth in the world’s largest economy, reported Reuters.









Japan's Nikkei added 0.57% or 82.77 points at 14,538.57.



Singapore's Straits Times gained 0.76% or 24.19 points at 3,192.06.



South Korea's Seoul Composite rose 0.73% or 14.49 points at 2,011.45.



Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 0.48% or 38.93 points at 8,212.80.



Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite are shut today.
