Is the USA In Danger of Becoming a Democracy?

The shutdown of the Federal Government may just be a sign that the republican form of government is transitioning to a democracy. Those who produced this spectacle in DC point to the fact that a majority of Americans do not want Obamacare to go into force. In other words, a minority of the people are in favor. That sounds a lot like democracy, doesn't it? Why should a minority force its will on the majority? The USA may be in danger of becoming a democracy! If this shutdown succeeds, we can think of a lot of laws the majority don't agree with. Shutting down the government may become the greatest tool the true democrats (not the Democratic Party) ever found.
