Asian equity markets kicked off November on a cautious note as investors digested two separate readings of China’s factory activity in the month of October.
China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.13 percent or 2.88 points at 2,144.49.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 23,198.53.
Japan’s Nikkei was down 0.29 percent or 42.13 points at 14,285.81.
Singapore’s Straits Times shed 0.27 percent or 8.67 points at 3,202.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite added 0.32 percent or 6.47 points at 2,036.56.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted fell 0.21 percent or 17.42 points at 8,432.64.
