Asian markets were trading firm on Thursday. South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.23 percent or 4.54 points at 2,006.13.
Japanese stocks rose to fresh six-year highs for a fourth straight session on Thursday, extending the weeks strong gains thanks to a weaker currency.Nikkei 225 Average rose 0.73 percent or 117.52 points at 16,127.51.
Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.26 percent or 8.12 points at 3,135.41.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was up 0.10 percent or 8.68 points at 8,476.44.
China’s Shanghai Composite was down 0.34 percent or 7.26 points at 2,099.10.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shut today.
