The market started off the year 2014 with marginal gains supported by FMCG, auto and capital goods stocks. The Sensex advanced 47.51 points to 21,218.19, and the Nifty rose 10.40 points to 6,314.40. About 549 shares have advanced, 137 shares declined, and 2746 shares are unchanged.
