U.S. stocks edged lower on Monday after U.S. factory data missed expectations, while a selloff in the biotech sector sent the technology-heavy Nasdaq falling sharply.
At the close of U.S. trading, the Dow Jones Composite fell 0.16%, the S&P 500fell 0.49%, while the Nasdaq fell 1.18%.
US stocks fell for a second session on Monday, with the Nasdaq losing over 1 percent as investors shed Facebook, Google and biotech shares. Data showing that US manufacturing activity slipped in March also weighed on sentiment.
