Asian Market Update by Epic Research

Asian stocks rose on Thursday after dovish comments from the US Federal Reserve sent Wall Street shares to record highs overnight.



Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.16 percent or 36.63 points at 23,218.35. Japan’s Nikkei rose 1.40 percent or 211.80 points at 15,327.60.



Singapore’s Straits Times was up 0.11 percent or 3.48 points at 3,280.28. South Korea’s Seoul Composite added 0.26 percent or 5.19 points at 1,994.68.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.11 percent or 9.95 points at 9,289.88. China’s Shanghai Composite shed 0.22 percent or 4.54 points at 2,050.98.
