Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian shares turned mixed on Tuesday following Chinese inflation figures and another record-breaking close on Wall Street.



China’s Shanghai Composite was down 0.11 percent or 2.23 points at 2,028.27. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 23,101.50.



Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.47 percent or 70.77 points at 15,053.23. Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.49 percent or 16.05 points at 3,289.15.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite added 0.41 percent or 8.23 points at 1,998.27. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.20 percent or 18.30 points at 9,181.04.
