Market Closing Bell

The index lost 29.25 points to 7511.45 and the 30-share BSE Sensex slipped 96.29 points to 25105.51 while the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were down 0.4 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively.



The Sensex declined 0.5 percent and Nifty fell 0.4 percent. BSE Oil & Gas and Auto shed 2 percent each while IT bucked the trend, up 3 percent.
