The BSE Sensex declined 52.76 points to close at 24805.83 while the NSE Nifty held 7400-mark for the second consecutive session, down 13.60 points to 7402.25.



Bank Nifty ended at record closing high today, up 0.5 percent to 15,333.40. Top lenders like State Bank of India and ICICI Bank gained 1.5 percent and 0.75 percent, respectively followed by Axis Bank with 1.7 percent. IDBI Bank shot up 16 percent.
