Sensex ends above 25000, up 214 pts

The Sensex closed above 25,000 for the first time ever. The Sensex is up 213.68 points at 25019.51 and the Nifty is up 71.85 points at 7474.10. About 2130 shares have advanced, 883 shares declined, and 121 shares are unchanged.
