US Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian equities fell on Friday amid concerns about violence in Iraq and caution before key Chinese data.



Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.78 percent or 116.85 points at 14,856.68. Singapore’s Straits Times shed 0.15 percent or 4.96 points at 3,288.05.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite declined 0.98 percent or 19.80 points at 1,991.85. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.30 percent or 27.84 points at 9,176.81.



China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,051.15. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.22 percent or 50.88 points at 23,225.90.
