Asian Market Update by Epic Research

Asian equity markets turned mixed on Thursday in cautious trade before key US economic data and a European Central Bank meeting.



China’s Shanghai Composite was down 0.14 percent or 2.90 points at 2,056.52. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.13 percent or 31.71 points at 23,581.33.



Japan’s Nikkei was flat at 15,364.16. Singapore’s Straits Times gained 0.31 percent or 10.28 points at 3,274.19.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite shed 0.25 percent or 5.04 points at 2,010.24. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.11 percent or 10.40 points at 9,474.56.
