Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian equity markets were mostly higher on Wednesday following record gains on Wall Street overnight.



Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped 0.65 percent or 151.79 points at 23,342.51. Japan’s Nikkei added 0.53 percent or 80.54 points at 15,406.74.



Singapore’s Straits Times gained 0.41 percent or 13.41 points at 3,256.05. South Korea’s Seoul Composite advanced 0.66 percent or 13.14 points at 2,012.14.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.82 percent or 77.62 points at 9,519.54. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 0.10 percent or 2.05 points at 2,048.33.
