Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian equity markets rose for a third session on Wednesday ahead of key risk events in the United States.



China’s Shanghai Composite rose 0.43 percent or 9.40 points at 2,192.59. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 1.05 percent or 257.66 points at 24,898.19.



Japan’s Nikkei was up 0.16 percent or 25.73 points at 15,643.80. Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,354.35.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.70 percent or 14.45 points at 2,076.42. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted added 0.55 percent or 51.93 points at 9,443.81.
