Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian equities were mixed on Thursday following minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest meeting and as caution set in ahead of key Chinese data.



China’s Shanghai Composite was up 3.55 points or 0.17 percent at 2,042.16 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 44.44 points or 0.19 percent to 23,220.51 while Japan’s Nikkei 225 Average fell 32.26 points or 0.21 percent to 15,270.39, at 7:55 hours IST.



Singapore’s Straits Times rose 13.61 points or 0.42 percent to 3,289.07 and South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 1.02 points to 2,001.52. Taiwan Weighted climbed 42.78 points or 0.45 percent to 9,532.76.
