Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian equity markets started the week mixed following weak economic data from the world’s two largest economies.



China’s Shanghai Composite rose 0.45 percent or 9.84 points at 2,195.14. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.29 percent or 70.86 points at 24,603.29.



Japan’s Nikkei was flat at 15,523.51. Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.65 percent or 21.71 points at 3,322.71.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite was flat at 2,072.08. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,267.77.
