Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian stock markets traded mixed on Thursday in a quiet session amid a lack of catalysts.



China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.19 percent or 4.27 points at 2,213.74. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 0.36 percent or 90.52 points at 25,009.27.



Japan’s Nikkei shed 0.49 percent or 75.51 points at 15,459.31. Singapore’s Straits Times jumped 0.45 percent or 15.03 points at 3,356.49.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite added 0.51 percent or 10.58 points at 2,085.51. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.17 percent or 16.37 points at 9,469.22.
