Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Mounting anxiety over global growth and the spread of Ebola dragged Asian bourses lower early Thursday. A volatile trading session on Wall Street overnight weakened investor sentiment.



Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shed 0.87 percent or 201.88 points at 22,938.17.



Japan’s Nikkei tumbled 2.10 percent or 316.67 points at 14,756.85.



Singapore’s Straits Times fell 1.10 percent or 35.23 points at 3,163.49.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite was down 0.69 percent or 13.24 points at 1,912.67.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted declined 1.34 percent or 116.29 points at 8,539.22.



China’s Shanghai Composite fell 0.31 percent or 7.31 points at 2,366.36.
