Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian markets saw lackluster trade in Thursday’s morning session, following a lack of strong cues from Wall Street and ahead of key economic data from China.



China’s Shanghai Composite shed 0.18 percent or 4.42 points at 2,490.06.



Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was flat at 23,929.65.



Japan’s Nikkei rose 0.30 percent or 51.55 points at 17,248.60.



Singapore’s Straits Times gained 0.31 percent or 10.31 points at 3,294.02.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.17 percent or 3.35 points at 1,970.62.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted added 0.52 percent or 45.99 points at 8,964.94.
