Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian stocks were mixed on a data-light Friday, overlooking Wall Street’s higher finish overnight following strong US economic data.



China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.45 point to 2,453.11 while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 2.54 points to 23,347.10, at 8 hours IST.



Japan’s Nikkei 225 Average lost 162.67 points or 0.94 percent to 17,138.19 whereas Singapore’s Straits Times rose 22.01 points or 0.66 percent to 3,337.61 and South Korea’s Seoul Composite advanced 4.32 points or 0.22 percent to 1,962.36.



Taiwan Weighted was up 1.89 points at 9,080.76.
