The closing update:- The BSE Sensex closed down 538.12 points or 1.97% at 26781.44, it's Intraday touch a high of 27199.37 and touch a low of 26736.23.
The NSE Nifty index ended decline 152 points or 1.85% at 8067.60, it was touched a high of 8189.35 and touch a low of 8052.60 in trade today.
Nifty top losers today:- SSLT 7.34%, Dr. Reddy's 6.13%, Hindalco 5.19%, Bank of baroda 5.09%, SBIN 5.04%, Tata power 4.47%, Jindal steel 4.17%, ICICI bank 4.10%, DLF 4.08%, Ambuja Cements 4.03%.
Nifty top gainers today:- HCL Tech 5.03%, TCS 3.83%, BPCL 1.75%, Tech-mahindra 1.60%, Infosys 0.62%, ZEEL 0.31%.
Selling pressure in the Indian market has intensified in the last twelve sessions and the Sensex has corrected by nearly 1,850 points or 6.5 per cent even as crude oil prices have been on a decline. The Nifty slipped below its 50-day moving average and breached 8,100 intraday.
The good thing about the Indian market is that it is least impacted in global sell-off due to better fundamentals. However, the global trend is bearish and some pain is expected in the near term before the bulls try to make a comeback.
