Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian equity markets were mixed on Tuesday as investors weighed volatile commodity markets and news of Japan’s rating downgrade.



Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.12 percent or 26.92 points at 23,394.37.



Japan’s Nikkei was flat at 17,584.33.



Singapore’s Straits Times added 0.87 percent or 28.87 points at 3,334.51.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite shed 0.46 percent or 8.97 points at 1,956.25.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted declined 0.98 percent or 89.73 points at 9,027.98.



China’s Shanghai Composite rose 0.24 percent or 6.47 points at 2,686.62.
