Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Asian equities rose Wednesday following a record close on Wall Street overnight, with indices in Japan and Shanghai surging to new multi-year peaks.



Hong Kong’s Hang Seng added 1.09 percent or 257.47 points at 23,911.77.



Japan’s Nikkei gained 0.98 percent or 173.93 points at 17,837.15.



Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,324.21.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.20 percent or 4.02 points at 1,969.85.



Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted rose 0.98 percent or 88.12 points at 9,122.91.



China’s Shanghai Composite advanced 1.57 percent or 43.27 points at 2,806.82.
