Silver futures recover by Rs 271 on global cues

Silver prices recovered by Rs 271 to Rs 36,554 per kg in futures trade today after speculators enlarged positions amidst firming global trends.



At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May was up by Rs 271, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 36,554 per kg in a business turnover of 2,003 lots.



Similarly, the white metal for delivery in far-month July traded higher by Rs 253, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 37,002 per kg in 40 lots.



Meanwhile, silver traded 0.80 per cent higher at USD 16.28 an ounce in Singapore.
