Asia markets extend gains; Nikkei up 0.6%, ASX up 1.6%

Asia markets extend gains; Nikkei up 0.6%, ASX up 1.6% Asia markets were higher on Thursday, after US stocks extended gains overnight following Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen’s cautious stance on the path of tightening earlier this week.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up 0.57 percent in morning trade, while across the Korean Strait, the Kospi traded flat.
