As many as 7 merchant bankers, including Citi Group Global and Deutsche Equities, have evinced interest in managing the government’s 10 per cent stake sale in Oil India, which could fetch about Rs 2,000 crore. Shares of the company were trading 0.18 per cent down at Rs 355.20 (9.32 am).
Textile stocks:
According to a TV report, the Cabinet may clear textile policy on Wednesday. Stocks like Lakshmi Machine Works, Gokaldas Exports, Kitex Garments, Century Textiles, Arvind will remain in focus. There are expectations that the new textile policy will increase exports and create jobs.
Tech Mahindra:
Tech Mahindra on Wednesday before market hours informed BSE that the Investment Committee of Board of Directors of the Company on June 21, 2016 approved the proposal to acquire Bio Agency Limited, a UK based entity. Stocks of the company were trading 0.64 per cent up at Rs 540.70 (9.34 am).
Coal India:
Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday said the Coal India Ltd (CIL) has set a coal production target of one billion tonne. Stocks of Coal India were trading 0.02 per cent up at Rs 312.80 (9.36 am).
Tata Motors:
Jaguar Land Rover, Britain’s biggest carmaker, estimates its annual profit could be cut by 1 billion pounds ($1.47 billion) by the end of the decade if Britain leaves the European Union, according to two sources familiar with the company’s thinking.
Asian Paints:
Asian Paints on Tuesday said it has revised plans for its manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh, which will now have higher capacity and a marginal increase in investment.
Nestle India:
FMCG major Nestle India is considering to expand health and nutrition products offering in the domestic market, leveraging on its parent’s global portfolio.
