The market is still holding firm with the Nifty hovering around 8400.
The 50-share index is up 46.10 points or 0.5 percent at 8395.45 while the Sensex up 108.28 points or 0.4 percent at 27142.78.
GAIL, ONGC, Tata Steel, SBI and Tata Motors are top gainers while ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, HUL and L&T are losers in the Sensex.
