Asian Markets Update by Epic Research

Asian stocks were mixed on Tuesday following a lackluster lead from Wall Street and as traders monitored developments in Iraq and Ukraine.



China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.10 percent or 2 points at 2,026.37. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.32 percent or 73.75 points at 22,878.56.



Japan’s Nikkei shed 0.50 percent or 76.60 points at 15,292.68. Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,260.47.



South Korea’s Seoul Composite advanced 0.65 percent or 12.82 points at 1,987.74. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted added 0.39 percent or 36.16 points at 9,264.51.
