Asian stocks fell on Wednesday as geopolitical concerns over Iraq overshadowed better-than-expected US data.
China’s Shanghai Composite declined 0.64 percent or 13.07 points at 2,020.86. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.20 percent or 44.64 points at 22,925.28.
Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.39 percent or 59.20 points at 15,317.04. Singapore’s Straits Times was up 0.11 percent or 3.56 points at 3,265.59.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite shed 0.53 percent or 10.53 points at 1,983.82. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.13 percent or 11.92 points at 9,234.28.
