Epic Research Update : Asian Markets

Japan’s benchmark index tumbled on Wednesday but the rest of Asian shares rose following a recovery on Wall Street overnight.

China’s Shanghai Composite added 0.47 percent or 9.88 points at 2,108.17. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 1.17 percent or 265.19 points at 22,862.16.

Japan’s Nikkei shed 1.57 percent or 229.52 points at 14,377.36. Singapore’s Straits Times rose 0.12 percent or 3.84 points at 3,207.93.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite was up 0.12 percent or 2.45 points at 1,995.48. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted gained 0.34 percent or 30.45 points at 8,918.70.
