Chana prices moved down by 0.73 per cent to Rs 4,614 per quintal in futures trade today, as speculators preferred to book profits at prevailing higher levels.
However, reports of lower output from key producing areas capped the fall.
At National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in June month fell by Rs 34, or 0.73 per cent to Rs 4,614 per quintal with an open interest of 1,25,910 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in May contracts declined by Rs 20, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 4,521 per quintal in 24,640 lots.
